In the Pacific Northwest summer has been hiding out... but I now have proof that it has finally arrived. An abundance of flowers have arrived and decked out the countryside! (I am not using a tripod - it's all hand held.)

After spending a day in Cascade Locks on the Columbia River in Oregon, I chose to share the river, and views from the island. Very special place to the Native Americans and such a beautiful scene... If you haven't ever visited the Columbia River Gorge, please put it on your wish list of vacation spots.

I love to photograph the things in nature that inspire me in their minute detail, their newness, their color, their uniqueness, their grandness. Maybe I just love to take pictures so I can remember the amazing things created for us!
